I love unique breakfast joints and stumbled on one while in Port Aransas, Texas. While walking for coffee and breakfast, my friends and I were intrigued by a spot with picnic benches just off the main road. Eats-Port A serves up American comfort food with a twist. Little tidbit about Port Aransas – its more commonly called Port A. I knew I was going to like Eats just from the coffee mug with a rooster on it.
On the menu you’ll find everything from a Buckeye Texas Omelette with venison sausage and duck bacon to a Catfish Benedict to Migas to PB&J French Toast which is peanut butter, strawberry jelly and bacon stuffed French Toast with Cap’n Crunch cereal.
I went for the Avocado Toast. If I’m going to bust my gluten free diet then it better be good and boy was this breakfast outstanding.
It’s three buttery baguette crostinis topped with deliciousness of sliced avocado, heirloom cherry tomatoes, crumbled crispy bacon and feta cheese with two fried eggs. A drizzle of olive oil along with a dash of salt and pepper finish off this breakfast to die for.
