Jennifer may be glammed up at times as a television personality, but she’s just as comfortable in front of the camera as a no makeup outdoorsy girl. Jennifer’s love of the outdoors grew exponentially while she was a meteorologist for KDVR and KWGN in Denver, Colorado. During those 5.5 years, she created “Explore Colorado,” a weekly segment to share her outdoor adventures throughout the state. “Explore Colorado” was so popular, Jennifer also produced 30 minute specials, including “Explore the Parks” featuring Mesa Verde, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Great Sand Dunes, Rocky Mountain National Park, and the National Monuments in Colorado to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service. In the “Explore” section, you’ll find “Explore Colorado” featuring adventures in the Centennial State. You’ll also find “Explore Texas” which features adventures in the Lone Star State. Since Jennifer lived in San Antonio and Houston for a total of 11 years, she has extensive knowledge of traveling across the state from Galveston to Big Bend National Park to Palo Duro Canyon State Park near Amarillo. The “Explore the Outdoors” section features a plethora of adventures from La Bufadora near Ensenada, Mexico to taking the Swamp Rabbit Trail in Greenville, South Carolina.
As an almost exclusively carry-on traveler, Jennifer loves to share her secrets for jet set style. In the Go Gear section, Jennifer shares the things she’s road tested from luggage to ski socks to hiking boots to her favorite finds on the road. Jennifer also shares her fashion finds and tips on how to look your best while taking the least amount of luggage as possible during your travels.
From boutique hotels to the most luxurious resorts in the world, Jennifer has the scoop on the hot spots to stay. Since usually only the best rooms are featured on hotel and resort websites, this is a look inside the room Jennifer stays in whether it is a standard room or swanky suite. Who knows a place better than a concierge at a luxury resort or hotel. Jennifer gets the inside scoop on what the resort, hotel, and city have to offer. During a stay at the Beverly Wilshire in Los Angeles, California, and realizing the wealth of knowledge concierge have, and the lack of that information being shared outside of a hotel or resort, Hot Spots to Stay was launched.
Accommodations at bed & breakfasts, inns, condos, rental homes, and guest ranches are also featured.
Being a food and wine aficionado, Jennifer loves to share her travel tastes, restaurants to try, and the recipes she gather along the way. Jennifer is not shy about asking chefs from food trucks to the top restaurants in the world to share their recipes. Cocktail creations from creative mixologists are sought after too as Jennifer shares libations to love. The Travel Tastes section is all about food finds, recipes, and libations from coffee to cocktails.
3 Day Getaways:
Jennifer is an expert in exploring a destination in 72 hours or less. From Niagara Falls to Scottsdale, Jennifer shares her itineraries of getaways you can do within 3 days. They’re packed with outdoor adventures, shopping, dining, and of course where to stay.
Travel Expert + Meteorologist = Traveling Weather Chick.
Jennifer is a travel expert and weather expert. With over 20 years of on camera television experience, Jennifer is a digital storyteller.
She’s Lara Croft meets Lucille Ball. When it comes to food, libations, and restaurants, she’s Paula Dean meets Anthony Bourdain…if only she could cook like either one! She’s no makeup outdoorsy girl meets the perfectly coiffed television personality. She’s a fan of roughing it, but also loves basking in 5-star luxury.
