My dad always enjoyed taking Sunday drives so on Father’s Day my mom and I did just that. We drove up to Cashiers from Greenville, South Carolina, with no idea where we were going to eat. To our delight in the small mountain town in North Carolina, we found a quaint cafe perfect for lunch and lucky us, there was a table available out on the covered patio at Randevu.
Now I love fried green tomatoes and I love a great BLT. It had been ages since I’d had either. On the menu at Randevu I noticed they combined the two. Sold! The Green BLT is made with fried green tomatoes, avocado mayonnaise, lettuce, and pecan smoked bacon. It’s served with sweet potato fries.
Add in a glass of sweet tea and I was in Southern cookin’ heaven!
