On my recent trip to San Antonio, Texas and Greenville, South Carolina I got stopped multiple times in the airport by folks asking me, “Who makes those shoes? They’re so cute.”
As I’m wearing them on flight to Detroit, Michigan yesterday and today to start a road trip I figured I would share the scoop on the shoes.
They’re Merrell! They’re sleek, stylish, lightweight and most importantly comfy. The Gridway series is Merrell’s most eco-friendly line yet.
The upper part of the Gridway Moc is 100% recycled yarn-knit. The EVA removeable footbed is made from 50% recycled material and the EVA midsole is made for 30% recycled material. The Vibram EcoDura bottom is also made with recycled materials including the sliver of gray between the midsole and bottom is 30% recycled post manufacture scraps. The shoes run $120.00 and come in 3 colors for women and men.
They’re perfect for boating through the airport, strolling through a city and even light hiking. Yes, I’ve done all three in the shoes. Tip when ordering – order a half size down as they run a little big. Now you know the scoop on my travel shoes!
