They say everything is bigger in Texas. Well, that holds true for the new United Terminal C North opening in March. For a segment on Houston Life, the show I host, I got a sneak peek at the new terminal which features tech integrated dinning.
The new 265,000 square foot terminal is a significant upgrade at George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
With what OTG Management has done with the dining and retail options, your layover just got a high tech boost. As you order food and drinks from an iPad, which you’ll also be able to do at your gate, you scan your boarding pass so it alerts when it’s time to board. At the restaurants and retail stores, you can swipe your card and bolt to catch your flight. You can also check social media, different news outlets, play games, or even order stuff like headphones on the iPads to be delivered right to you at your seat.
Even the dining options are elevated to a new experience including Ember, a creation by James Beard award winning chef Chris Shepherd.
Retail stores include Jo Malone, Man Ready Mercantile, and Tumi.
The new Terminal C North is slated to open in March.
Here’s the piece I did for Houston Life.
