Fall is my favorite season. I was home for less than 72 hours but had to get in a leaf peeping excursion on Guanella Pass as the golden aspens near peak color.

To end my Croatia trip I did 2 nights solo in Dubr

To end my Croatia trip I did 2 nights solo in Dubrovnik so I could do a day trip to check off 2 countries with @dubrovnikshoretours. We drove into Montenegro and stopped for coffee with a view in Morinj. Next stop was Kotor. It was stormy so I didn’t get to hike up to fort but I did get to wander around the Old Town. Then we did a scenic drive into Bosnia Herzegovina and stopped for lunch at Stara Hercegovina. At the tavern I tried the local sherry and Hercegovačka Pita. The corn bread and cheese pie is delicious comfort food. From there we went to an overlook of Trebinje with a beautiful church and incredible view even in the rain. My country count is now 47 and it was really cool to be in 3 countries in one day!

This is my second time in Dubrovnik. When visiting you should walk the city walls. Wear good shoes because there are lots of steps and uneven surfaces. Walls here date back to the Middle Ages then the city was completely encircled in the 13-14th centuries. It’s 1.3 miles around and you should plan 1.5 hours to walk, explore, and enjoy the marvelous views.

This was a fun boat day with @korculaadventures during stay @diamondvillacroatia! We went to a beautiful swim spot and ate sea urchin caviar followed by a short ride to Extravaganza restaurant for an incredible lunch of fresh fish, mussels and local wine.
