There’s something special about checking into a hotel with the glitz and glam of a bygone era, but with all the comforts of modern luxury. The Tulsa Club Hotel, part of Hilton’s Curio Collection, is where art deco elegance meets modern style in the heart of downtown Tulsa.
Tulsa Club Hotel is housed in a 1927 Bruce Goff–designed building, which was once the city’s most exclusive social club. This downtown gem shines as one of Tulsa’s Art Deco icons.
I stayed in Room 809, a spacious retreat with terrazzo floors, tall windows, and an elegant art deco design that’s both timeless and contemporary. From the geometric patterns in the hallway carpets to the art deco brass accents throughout the room, every detail feels like a nod to Tulsa’s golden era.
Dinner at Chamber
Dinner at Chamber, the hotel’s restaurant, is a delight. I sipped a Diamond Fizz cocktail of gin, lemon, and bubbles while enjoying a half-order of arugula salad with artichoke hearts, sunflower seeds, shaved fennel, and Parmesan tossed in champagne vinaigrette. The grilled citrus salmon was fresh and flavorful, a fitting entree to a meal balancing sophistication and comfort.
Nightcap in the Lobby Bar
Drawn by the golden glow of the chandeliers reflecting off plush green velvet, I wandered into the stylish lobby bar in Tulsa Club Hotel. With a wedding party celebrating and the World Series playing on TV, the atmosphere quickly turned festive and full of energy. I toasted the night with a couple of glasses of prosecco, the perfect way to end an Art Deco evening in style.
Coffee at Sunrise
The next morning, I lingered in bed, savoring the extra hour of sleep from the time change while sipping coffee as the golden sunrise illuminated downtown Tulsa. It was the perfect slow start to a Sunday at Tulsa Club Hotel before continuing on a road trip.
If you love vintage glamour and modern comfort wrapped in Art Deco style, Tulsa Club Hotel is a must-stay when exploring Oklahoma.
