I’m rocking a pair of flip flops this summer and they’re made of recycled cork. This wine and environment love digs that. The Laguna Flips are made by SOLE, a company I found at Outdoor Retailer, which is kicking off again this week in Denver.

I’ve been road testing a pair of the Laguna Flips for a couple of months now. They’ve gone from El Paso, Texas to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to Tybee Island, Georgia. They’ve quickly become a staple in my travel bag. Here are a few reasons why. I was surprised how comfy the flex-knit strap is. The flips are super light, which is key for something that goes in my carry-on luggage. My arches love the wear-moldable orthopedic support. That’s huge for me in a flip flop since my plantar fasciitis flares every now and then. They actually feel like they were custom made for my feet. I also love there’s a little thickness between the bottom of my foot and the ground. The rugged tread is perfect for the beach to camping or when I take off my hikers after logging some miles on the trail. Some other bonus features are they are anti-odor, splash friendly and vegan.

They even double as summer slippers for me. I don’t like walking barefoot in hotel rooms, so these flips pull double duty. Plus they even make my in need of a pedicure tootsies look cute!
