After hiking Mount Huron, one of Colorado’s 14,000-foot peaks, all I wanted to do was stick my feet in the ice cold creek near our camping site this past weekend. While at Outdoor Retailer recently, I checked out Body Glove’s Dynamo Rapid Water Shoe. I had been wanting a pair of water shoes that covers my toes so I do some “creek stompin'” as we said in the South when I was growing up.
Couple of things immediately drew me to the Dynamo Rapid. First the colors – love the vibrant blue and yellowish-green colors. The adjustable shocklace makes it easy to secure the shoe on your foot. I’m normally a 6.5-7 in shoes but went with a 6 in part because of the give in the 4-way stretch of the knitted upper part of the shoe. Since they’re water shoes and I was looking at them for paddle boarding or just to have in my backpack if I need to cross a creek on a trail, I wanted these to feel like second skin. A cool feature is the collapsible heel which makes for ultra easy slip on, or if you want more of a slide than shoe. In travel (and hiking and camping!) everything has to be multi-purpose, multi-wear. In and when you’re getting out of the water, you want shoes that drain and these have Body Glove’s Integrated Drainage System (IDS) technology.
